Subject: [Tweeters] Tokeland Bar-tailed Godwits?

Hi All,

In trying to keep track of sight reports for North American Birds this
fall season I seemed to have missed some October dates on the two
Bar-tailed Godwits joining in with the Marbled Godwits at the Tokeland
Marina. I guess I've been assuming that the adult female bird (very drab
bird) first found by Khanh Tran on September 5 has been the one present
well into October and seen by many. Wrong! A juvenile Bar-tailed Godwit
(very freshly marked bird) was seen and photographed at some point in
October. I have not seen any reports of two Bar-tailed Godwits at one
time so I'm a bit confused on when the adult female was last seen and
when the juvenile was first noted. Interesting! Any help with possible
dates on these two from birders visiting Tokeland in October would be
greatly appreciated.

I guess the Hoquiam rarity show has ended for the moment.

Thanks and good birding,
