There is even more water now on the flooded fields to the west of Emerald Downs. It is a great place to see thousands of Cackling Geese. In addition there were 18 Greater White-fronted Geese and a Eurasian Wigeon among the American Wigeons. The Red-tailed Hawks were very excited by all of this activity, and they were perched all around these fields. There was a dead female Green-winged Teal beside the interuban trail?immediately south of Emerald downs.
?
The weather was just gorgeous today.
