I had just realized this morning, that I had not seen a MERLIN in Twin Lakes
for some time. Around 4:30 pm this afternoon, I had a MERLIN carrying prey
flying over. It was followed by a second Merlin heading in the same
direction shortly thereafter.
The lakes now have a good variety of ducks. A female CANVASBACK continues
on Lake Jeane and a single EURASIAN WIGEON was with the hundreds of AMERICAN
WIGEONS on Lake Lorene this afternoon. We are also starting to see a few
HOODED MERGANSERS.

Cheers and good birding!
