Hi, Tweeters,

Just a brief report on a lovely morning walk around the Montlake
Fill, where we easily saw thousands of ducks, cormorants, grebes, coots, and
gulls. Of interest inland was a Merlin, which sat just long enough to be
photographed at the top of a tall tree near the main pond. This was about
8:30 am this morning. Later as we were leaving and walking in back of the
CUH, we flushed two Meadowlarks from the grass near the road and they flew
off to the trees to the southwest.
