Hello Tweets,

I spent lots of time exploring the log booms and the mouth of the Puyallup
River Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from my Delquay boat and
unfortunately could not find the Black-tailed Gull, Larus crassirostris.
Many of us enjoyed terrific weather, and great looks at Bonaparte?s Gulls,
Mew Gulls, California Gulls, Thayer?s Gulls, Western Gulls, Glaucous-winged
x Western hybridized Gulls, and Glaucous-winged Gulls. Other species seen
included Double-crested Cormorant, Brandt?s Cormorant, Pelagic Cormorant,
Black Turnstone, Least Sandpiper, Dunlin, Spotted Sandpiper, Great Blue
Heron, Belted Kingfisher, Killdeer, Western Grebe, Red-necked Grebe, Horned
Grebe, Red-breasted Merganser, Barrow?s Golden-eye and Common Golden-eye.

The number of California Gulls is significantly decreased from 2 weeks ago.
Today I only counted 12. My suspicion is the BTG has moved on. I?ve
enjoyed meeting all the birders, and sharing in the excitement of seeing
this visitor while being out on the water. Have a great weekend.
