Everyone seems to be interested in taking pictures of the birds these days so I thought this may interest some.

I bought a new Canon 7D this last week and today I went looking for things to test it on. I did shoot some in the almost dark earlier this week and was very satisfied with what the camera did in those conditions. Today I was looking for the low light of filtered sun and hoping for some flight shots to further test the autofocus. I didn't have much success until I got home and then it seemed as if the locals took pity on me and did their best to help me test things. The flight shots were handled by a co-operative female ANNA'S Hummingbird. The other birds jumped in and out of the brush allowing me to test the speed and accuracy of the auto-focus.

So I have a few photos in the current folder on pbase along with a short note or two about the camera. In a nutshell, I'm more pleased than I have been since the 10D came out. That camera showed us the possibilities, this one comes close to delivering all of them, at least for me.
