The Rusty Blackbird reported on the 10th by Brad Waggoner was seen by several birders this morning, including 25+ members of Ken Brown's Intermediate Birding Class from Tahoma Audubon.? The bird was seen well feeding in the chewed up pasture of the vacant blue house on Layman Lane west of Kingston, Kitsap County.? While waiting for the Rusty to show himself, we were all treated to a graceful landing by a single Trumpeter Swan in a nearby flooded field.
