I was walking our dog this morning on Interurban between the flooded field and the track and saw that Rough-legged Hawk sitting on a fence post about 40 feet from the trail. He was rather bedraggled in the rain. By the time I got my camera from the truck and made it back he had flown out to midfield and taken over where a Cooper's Hawk had been sitting when I first spotted the Rough-legged Hawk. I snapped a couple of distant photos; nothing good, but enough for me to ID it having been there. The Bald Eagle was there as well, sharing a light pole with a crow .
