I was looking forward to birding at the Montlake Fill this morning, but that's looking less likely as the rain continues. It looks like a lot of us are getting driven inside by the rain. However, I've got a substitute for getting out that I recommend to the rest of you: Connie Sidles new book--In My Nature. This is really a wonderful, interesting and educational book. As her readers on Tweeters know, Connie's essays are like thoughtful conversations that may go in unexpected directions and are always absorbing and lively. Since I go to the Fill frequently, I'm delighted to recognize a lot of the landmarks, people and birds, but I'm sure everyone will enjoy it. And Alex's really wonderful illustrations and the photos by many photographers I've seen out and about are also tremendous. Kudos to Connie and all the contributors--you done good!
