I looked for the King Eider today at Potlatch SP from about 2:20-2:50 without success.? Lots of other species on the water, however.



Yesterday (Sat.), I had a few minutes to kill in downtown Olympia.? I went to the southern end of Capital Lake and immediately found the Mute Swan pair.? They had been joined by another pair of swans;?I had to leave to pick up my son before either lifted their heads, so no ID on this latter pair.? The birds are also visible from I-5 as large white dots.
