My wife and I spent Saturday afternoon birding along Hood Canal from Hwy
101 to Twanoh State Park. Spawned out Chum Salmon.
Numerous Goldeneyes 90% Barrow's,
Surf Scoters,
Horned Grebes,
Buffleheads,
3 Belted Kingfishers,
Great Blue Herons,
Ring-billed Gulls,
Thayer's Gulls,
Glaucous-winged Gulls,
Green-winged Teal,
Mallards (of course)
Winter Wren, Hermit Thrush, Fox Sparrow at Harmony Hill Retreat Center.

>From the restaurant at Alderbrook Resort:
Spotted Towhees,
Dark-eyed Junco - Oregon although one had the look of a Pink-sided,
American Crow - most were smaller birds as in Northwest Crow,
The surprise was an Osprey working the shallows between the dock and the
resort.

Just a nice day of winter birding.
