Hi Tweets -
In case anyone is looking for a late Sunday plan....

Saturday (Oct 3) afternoon, several of us enjoyed great views of two
lingering Sharp-tailed Sandpipers at Jensen Access.

As others have mentioned, until an hour or two before high tide, the
birds are way too far out to allow identification. High tide
yesterday was around 5:00 - today a little later.

Other birds in the incoming flock included:
Marbled Godwit - 1
Sanderling - at least one
Pectoral Sandpiper -
Black-bellied Plover
Western Sandpiper
Dunlin
Long-billed Dowitcher

We also had a Short-eared Owl , Peregrine Falcon, and several fly-by
American Pipits. No Eagles (Alaska vacation is still on, I guess)

Over at the Skagit Game Range, a smaller flock had 2 Pectoral
Sandpipers 1-2 Lesser Yellowlegs 15-20 Greater Yellowlegs, and about
the same number of dowitchers (none of them id'd as Short-billed)

Good birding,

>Got here two hours before high tide and one hour after seems best.
