Tina and I found a large flock of LONG-BILLED DOWITCHER on Leque Island just
west of Stanwood today. The birds were on the North side of Highway 532
adjacent to the Mark Clark bridge. We estimate 300 birds in the flock.
In the same flock were 6 LEAST SANDPIPER and 2 PECTORAL SANDPIPER. I could
not discern any Short-Billed Dowitchers in the flock either visually or by
flight call as they flushed.
