Hello All,
I ran up to see the Sharp-tailed Sandpipers this morning. There were 7 Greater White-fronted Geese at Emerald Downs as I headed up. There were no shorebirds when I stopped by Thomas Pond early, so I birded further north. At Smith Brothers Dairy I noticed a flock of Savannah Sparrows and Western Meadowlarks, and as I got my scope out I saw a Horned Lark flying around the fenced area.
At the 212th Street Ponds (near where the road turns to Orillia) there were two female Blue-winged Teal.
I stopped back by the Thomas Pond and saw the two Sharp-taileds with 6 Pectorals on my way back.
Cheers,
Charlie Wright
