This afternoon about 4pm I was out in front of the Anchor Pub, on the downtown Everett waterfront when I heard a faint but familiar sound from on high. Straight up , several thousand feet up, a large V of Snow Geese were flying overhead going north towards the Skagit - around 200 + birds glowing in the afternoon sun.
Interestingly, on January 20th of this year I had a similar experience, as 200 or so Snow Geese flew over the Pub also heading north. Of course many Tweeters were reporting Snow Geese about in the Sno - King area last winter, but still ,last winters were my first sightings of Snow Geese in Everett.
But seeing Snow Geese on a warm sunny early October afternoon here in Everett was a tad bit surreal. Maybe we should call it the Snow Goose Pub.
