Hi,
All the hubbub about the Fill makes me think that my hunch today might not have been so crazy after all.

Saw a solitary bird perched at the top of a small tree near the beach facing the stiff easterly breeze. My first thought was that it looked like a shrike but was too small and too brown. It was shy and I couldn't get close enough to see if it had a hooked bill. No photo; not a positive id; just a hunch.
