Hit Belfair State Park around 2pm this afternoon, right around high tide. Right at the front entrance was a small flock of killdeer and one Black-bellied Plover. This is the first I've seen the plover this fall. Hopefully it sticks around.

Also, this afternoon at the Union River DFW lot between Belfair and the state park we found a female canvasback feeding in the river. Seems like a rather late time for it to be around this area.

Saw lots of horned grebes on the north side of Hood Canal on the way home.
