Tweeters,

I was attempting to catch up on yardwork about 1:30PM today and heard
WESTERN BLUEBIRDS calling. Five of them were about 200 feet overhead, with a
Sharp-shinned Hawk about a third of that distance below them. At the time I
saw them, the bluebirds were heading north and stayed on that heading while
visible through bins.



At about 3:30PM, I heard GREATER YELLOWLEGS calling twice, and I finally
located three of them heading east-to-west over the house. This was the
first time I've noted this shorebird within sighting distance of my home
here.
