On Fir Island this morning we had good looks at a Northern Shrike and
Short-billed Dowitchers at the Hayton Reserve and at the new wetlands
created after the dike removal on the Skagit adjacent to Management
Headquarters on Wylie Road, but with many hunters. Thousand of Snow
Geese were browsing at Hayton and not quite that many hunters west of
the Reserve.
