Steve,

Nice shots of light morph immature Red-tailed Hawks - the belly band, pale panel at the base of the primaries, dark patagium, dark head and neck, finely barred tail, and longer proportions (than adult) all show well. The photo suggests some size difference between them, in which case the larger might be a female and the smaller a male.

Hello,

We saw a very high flying raptor over Sun Mountain near Winthrop last week and could not figure out what it was. I have put up the two best shots I got of it at:

I'd appreciate anyone who had the time to look and give me some idea what this bird is.
