today's mystery bird is a North American species that is relatively easy to identify -- if it wasn't missing one of its field marks. Can you identify it anyway?

the most recently demystified mystery birds were two African species, ellow-crowned (Kenya) Canary, Serinus flavivertex, Cut-throat (Ribbon) Finch, Amadina fasciata, thanks to Dan Logen. these two species are widely kept as popular cagebirds and avicultural subjects throughout the world;

here is an amateur video that i dug up about an extra-large chicken egg (i feel sorry for the hen). In this video, a couple whose chicken laid a gargantuan egg open it up to see what's inside and find another, normal-sized egg! so they then open up that egg to see what's inside;
