Hi all,
I was inspired by Gary Bletsch's post on birding the Skagit area so I
wandered out to see what I could find. I did not see anything unusual but I did
want to share a fun experience over by the West 90. There were no other
people at the vehicle access parking area. It was quiet except for a light
breeze rustling the leaves and grass. There were Lincoln Sparrows, Song
Sparrows, Fox Sparrow and Savannah Sparrows, Common Yellow Throat and a Song
Sparrow all around in the tall grass and bushes next to the parking lot.
Violet-Green and Barn Swallows were swooping and soaring over the fields.
One conclusion, I need to get out and bird more often!
