Thanks for the compliment! Ruth Sullivan got better shots than mine showing the bird flying and its barred rump.

The BTGO really sticks out when it flies as Steve Nord and I noticed it a couple of weeks ago. Almost whitish in appearance and structurally different. I know there are some really extremely pale Marbleds in the bunch but not this grayish-white. I know Gregg Thompson photographed a really pale Marbled.

Obviously at high tide will be your best chance to see the bird as the flocks will congregrate more tightly together. I remember seeing smaller, looser flocks of godwits coming from different directions and locations about two hours before high tide. Lots of hiding and roosting places out there!
