I use a Geometr GPS connected to my Nikon ($149). The sending unit is 1.5 x 1/2" and about 1 or 2 ounces. It does a terrific job except for the camera mount (in the hot shoe) that sometimes comes off. It automatically places the lat/lon in the metadata. In Lightroom all you ?have to do is click on the arrow next to the lat/lon in the images metadata and, if connected to the internet, a google map with a pin in it will automatically appear giving the location where the camera was at the time of the shot. Mine have been accurate within a few feet. I understand some newer cheaper GPS units have become available but have not tried them. Hope this helps.
