I went to the watch the swifts at Monroe on September 2.? It was well worth it.? Best timing was between 7:45 pm and 8:15 pm that night.? About 6,000 swifts entered the chimney.? And for about a half hour beforehand they swirled high overhead.



Cathy, who I'm copying on this e-mail said they migrate to Venezuela.?

I would like to see the vaux swifts at Monroe this coming weekend if they
are still there in reasonable numbers.? Monroe is about half the distance
that Portland is. So would appreciate any info available from Monroe.? Thank
you very much.
