Thanks for taking the time to share this info, Brenda. That map works
very nicely.

I would encourage others to use maps like this when sharing locations:
it makes locations really clear. Down to the tree! All it takes is a
Google account to save the map in "My Maps".

Tip: Its generally useful to create a map in satellite view with
labels for your "local patch" then add items as you need. You can go
back to this map and add other markers for other items of interest at
a later date. So pointing out the next interesting spot is that much
easier: just adding a marker to one spot.

Tip: Currently this map is unlisted but if you make it listed others
can find it by searching in Google (say for Warblers in Discovery
Park). Another way to share information.

Tip: How do you get there? Click on the marker and then "Get
Directions". Very handy is you have no idea where a site is.

Tip: You can even get the lat/long for the site too ... if you want to
navigate by GPS to the location. In this case it's at 47.665261,
-122.421502
