Hi Tweeters & Inland NW Birders - [feel free to forward to the local lists too]

An updated version of the 2009 county year list project is up at
Washington Birder. We've received updates from almost all the
counties with details through the end of August. County compilers,
especially for the underbirded counties, would appreciate receiving
reports of any birds seen in their counties.

The posted version of the list covers results through the beginning
of September
As of the end of August, the state list total was at 375, with
Western WA at 332 species, and Eastern WA at 307. Twenty-two counties
[out of 39] have recorded over 200 species, and all are over 100 by
now. 44 species have been recorded in all 39 counties thus far this
year.

If you'd like to take a look at where things stand, the list and many
other interesting files are at the Washington Birder website:

Thanks to all the compilers and all those pitching in to sketch a
picture of another year's birds in WA.
