Hello Tweeters,
I wander of to today to checking the famous place where in first of January
1994 put this place on the map.A Slaty-backed Gull was spotted and stayed
to the middle of May.
It was 10.15 AM this morning the ponds was exposed to mud,and I had
Shorebirds right in front where the overlook is.I had enough time to look
this group over,where I spotted 1 Semipalmated Sandpiper in this group of 5
different species of Shorebirds.I looked to the right looking at the creek
if I could find some Green-winged Teals,what we always had in this
wetlands.I looked back taken my eyes only few minutes ,and the Shorebirds
where all going.I hiked around the loop since I been so familiar with this
place where Patrick and I spotted Green Heron there breeding..As I returned
the wetlands start flowing in.
By this time it was 11.45AM High tide would be at 12.00 at a 11.0 feet,so I
think early in the morning would be the best.

Semipalmated Sandpiper 1
Western Sandpipers 12
Least Sandpipers 8
Lon-billed Dowitchers 6
Killdeere 1
Brown-headed Cowbirds 3
Common Yellowthroads 2
Mallard Ducks 6
Song-Sparrows 2
Surprising there where not to many Gulls on the mud
Glaucous-winged Gulls 8
Western Gull 4
California Gulls 2
