I have uploaded several photos to my website.

On Friday 9/11/09 I went to Semiahmoo with the highlight being a female
American kestrel. I spent 2 hours with her at fairly close range and watched
her catch several large black bugs (? Crickets).

On the home front, the wood ducks are returning to my pond in large numbers
- and why wouldn't they? I feed them twice a day with a mixture of whole
wheat and game bird pellets. This evening there were 82 on the pond and
another 5 that circled but did not land. I expect the number to reach 100 or
more as the month goes by.

Monday found me at Juanita Bay Park where I was entertained by a sora, 3
green herons and an American bittern that was actively flying about and
landing in the open several times. The screech owl was in his usual
well-hidden location.

Check the "last uploads" album of my site for the new images.
