Yesterday afternoon Juanita Bay Park's first Short-billed Dowitcher was
feasting on earthworms at the north end of the bay. It was still present
this morning, but after awhile joined a Long-billed Dowitcher that was
circling the bay before both departed to the south.

The Western Screech-Owl on the east boardwalk is still there as of this
morning. I also found a second roosting WESO - this bird was at the north
end of the causeway, about ten feet south of the second-to-last bench, and
about 15 feet in.

Other highlights from the morning include an adult and immature Green Heron,
an Osprey, three Cooper's Hawks, an American Pipit walking around on the
lily pads, 80 VG Swallows, 25 Barn Swallows, 2 Vaux's Swifts, a
Pacific-slope Flycatcher and a Purple Finch.
