Yesterday at breakfast I saw a Peregrine Falcon on one of our snags. It
stayed for fifteen minutes or so while I made photos, leaving when a small
jet left from the little airport across the river. We highly recommend
'planting' snags if you don't already have some.



Also a group of Western Bluebirds passed through, used the bird bath and
hawked a few bugs before moving on. I wonder if these could be some of the
same ones that used our nest boxes this summer and spring?
