Tweets,
I spent the day at Ocean Shores, Tokeland, and Midway Beach. The highlight
was a funnel cloud north of the Oyehut Game Range. It was symmetrical,
perhaps 100 feet long, and visible for up to 20 minutes around 1:30. Target
birds were pretty much zippo, despite slogging in the game range for 1.5
hours. No golden-plover, no Ruff, no Sharp-tailed, Buff-breasted, or Bairds
Sandpiper, no Snowy Plover, no longspur. 1 visual of Pectoral. No Bar-tailed
Godwit, but two curlews on the "outer" jetty en route to the Marina. I
should have stayed home and watched the Huskies!
