We saw some light colored hawks on a hike up Yellow Aster Butte near
Mt. Baker) a week and a half ago. The calls sounded like rough legged
hawks. There seemed to be one main one and two or three others calling
to each other. My guess is that it was a parent and young. The books
say that they wouldn't necessarily be migrating through that early,
but it certainly seems that that is what they were. What do you think?
