I went back to Sunset Avenue this afternoon about 3 p.m. to see if
there was any sign of the possible Pomarine Jaeger. I did not see
that bird. There was, however, one adult, light-morph Parasitic
Jaeger flying from north to south. The center tail extension was
noted so it was not the same bird Ted Peterson and I saw this
morning. Numbers of Western Grebes were way up this afternoon.
There were more than 50. The lone Osprey continued to cruise up and
down the beach. I also had a first-of-season Common Murre fairly
close in to the beach just north of Brackett's Landing North.
