Quite a bit of action around Point No Point today. I can't say I've seen flocks of phalaropes the size of the ones I was at Hansville, perhaps 40-50 birds. I didn't know they were phalaropes until they plopped down on the water like ducks. Also, jaegers out chasing Bonaparte's Gulls. The many Heerman's Gulls were aggressive as well, seemingly following the behavior of the jaegers. Saw groups of Harbor Porpoise too. At least one sea lion. In the first hour after dawn, the water was glassy calm and alive with birds. I was too focused on casting a line to do much birding.
