Subject: [Tweeters] Band-Tailed Pigeons on Cap Hill

At 9am on Sunday 9/27 I watched a group of about a dozen band-tailed pigeons flying in concert around 19th Ave East and Mercer. They then landed in two groups in some deciduous trees on 18th Ave East where they hung out for at least 10 mins (in the company of one indifferent crow).
I have never seen this species on Cap Hill outside of Interlaken Park, nor have I seen such a large group. I'm assuming they were on the hunt for berries which are certainly more plentiful north of the park than inside it.
