Saw a flock of 27 Pectoral Sandpipers with one Baird's at the Ocean Shores
Game Range off Tonquin Ave. this morning. There were several other
Pectorals and Baird's around too. I thought this was the biggest flock of
Pectorals I had ever seen, but two hours later there was a flock of 28
Pectorals (and two Common Snipe) at the third pond at the Sewage Plant.
Must have seen more than 60 Pectorals for the day. Alas, no Sharp-taileds.
A handful of White-fronted Geese were scattered around in several locations.
By 1 PM the rain rolled in and I gave up shortly thereafter.
