Hey tweets, great news about the white board project at the Fill.
Wendy (the CUH point person) told me that the board will be up soon.
Hot-cha. I wonder if we should have a celebration? Maybe an informal
potluck lunch? Speechifying? The first notation, written letter-by-
letter with pens for all (ala presidential bill-signing)? Line-
dancing, where we all imitate our favorite bird (mine would have to be
the Wilson's Snipe, which occasionally stops its foraging and begins
bouncing up and down like a lowrider - a behavior on view yesterday on
the Main Pond).

All kidding aside, Wendy has also informed me that the project came up
a little short of cash: $370 to be precise. I wonder if there are 6
people out there willing and able to contribute $50 (or a little
more?) to the cause? I am writing a check today for $70 myself.

Pond; all four later feeding on soccer field north of Clark)
2 Hooded Mergansers on Main Pond
1 Long-billed Dowitcher on Main Pond
1 Purple Finch on the Loop Trail south of the chip pile
numerous Lincoln's Sparrows scattered about
Brown Creepers in the alder grove
1 AMERICAN KESTREL being chased by a Cooper's Hawk near the Southwest
