Evan Houston reported White-winged Crossbills over the Labor Day weekend at
Scottish Lakes High Camp in Chelan Co. I spent this past weekend at the High
Camp and also saw White-winged Crossbills. There was at least one flock of 6
birds and there may have been more. I saw them several times over the course
of Saturday, Sunday and Monday morning.

The camp had large numbers of Pine Siskins, Red Crossbills, Audubon's
Warblers and other usual suspects. It is located at 5000 ft in mixed conifer
forest well above the yellow pine.
