Anne Marie Wood just called the Seattle Audubon office to ask me to post
that she had over 800 Snow Geese at Hayton Preserve in the Skagit.
Rachel Lawson relayed the message - we both thought this was early but
based on BirdWeb
(http://birdweb.org/birdweb/bird_details.aspx?value=search&id=59
<http://birdweb.org/birdweb/bird_details.aspx?value=search&id=59> ) they
are rare in Sept and common in October. Perhaps the unseasonably warm
weather has skewed our perception of season. :)

She also believes that she found the SHARP-TAILED SANDPIPER at the
Jenson access but wasn't able to confirm the ID before a Merlin flushed
all the shorebirds present. It appears as if Marv Breece's bird may
still be there.
