Tweeters,

I spent a couple of hours driving from Jack Block Park around Alki Point to
Lowman Beach Park this sunny Wednesday morning with my trusty spotting
scope. Highlights:

7 Red-necked Grebes, 33 Horned Grebes, 4 Western Grebes, 21 Harlequin Ducks,
1 Red-tailed Hawk perched on a conifer on the ridge across from Jack Block
Park, 2 adult Bald Eagles circling near the nest across from Salty's, 2
sightings of single Osprey, 82 Sanderlings just S of Alki Lighthouse, 4
Surfbirds near Duwamish Head, 1 Pigeon Guillemot. -Mary Bond, Seattle
