Hi All,

Many of you are already familiar with the common but elusive Rock Duck (

Well, I am excited to say that a much rarer close cousin of the Rock Duck
has been sighted in Edmonds. I managed to capture a photograph of the
amazing Band-tailed Duck as it perched in a Madrone across the street from
my house. As far as I know, this is the only photo of the species that
