Subject: [Tweeters] Bright Flash of Yellow in the Snow

It's snowing here in the greater Tahuya area. A bright flash of yellow just caught my eye. At the sunflower feeder a bright male American Goldfinch is jostling for position on the lee side of the busy feeder. It's a first of the year and maybe he should have checked the forecast. But I guess those southerly winds make for good flying if you're small and winged.

A pair of mountain quail were here just as the snow started about two hours ago. The flock of pine siskens are being daring by coming right up to the house wall under the eave where I've spread food for them and everything else until the snow leaves. Wasn't April Fools' Day yesterday????
