I did not rule out a male Anna's Hummingbird as a possibility for the bird that I spotted at Vicki's house yesterday. Without a photo, there are questions on the bird. I have questions as well, so I will chalk this one up to learning more about the two species. Still, the size/shape/structure or general impression of the bird still has my gut feeling it was a Black-chinned.

If you are visiting Vicki's yard for the beautiful Rose-breasted Grosbeak, then please watch those hummingbird feeders just in case!
