Hi Tweets,

I just wanted to say "thank you" to the folks that sent me information on
where to see the cranes.

I went down to Woodland yesterday and there they were, hundreds of them!
There were also two
white egrets hanging around in the same field and pond. I also found a
heron rookery and there were
lots of nests and three herons in a field. The nests had some occupants
too! What a great day.

We stopped at Nisqually on the way home to see the new marshes that they
have restored from
100 years ago. They were full of cackling geese, Canadian geese,
pintails, wood ducks, barn
swallows, common mergansers and mallard ducks. It was a wonderful day,
long drive but worth it.

Thank you everyone for pointing me to the cranes. It was a day I won't
forget....Lucille of Sammamish
