I was sitting at the computer a moment ago when my cat Otis started emitting the little kitty machine-gun sounds he makes whenever he sees something exciting out the window. I stood up to take a look and was treated to quite a show. Five American Robins, two Townsend's Warblers, two Chestnut-backed Chickadees, three Golden-crowned Kinglets, two European Starlings, one American Crow and a squirrel were all using various portions of the yard/trees at the same time. There was movement everywhere, and I almost started emitting little involuntary noises of my own just like Otis was doing. I love moments like these.
