Greetings,
This week salmon were released into the Chamber Creek drainage in Lakewood. A number of species of birds are feasting on the bounty
Common Mergansers and Double Crested Cormorants are driving the salmonin to a tight ball on the fresh water side of the dam and then divinginto it pulling out fish on each pass. I have posted one picture on FLickr with three cormorants surfacing at once each with a salmon in bill.

The area also is being fished by one Osprey and several Bald Eagles at the same time. One of the young Eagles is of a golden hue and very interesting.
