Tweeters,

Not to be picky, but I see the name of George Wilhelm Steller commonly
misspelled on Tweeters. Here is what you find on Wikipedia:

*Georg Wilhelm Steller* (March 10, 1709 ? November 14, 1746) was a
German<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Germany>
botanist <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Botanist>,
zoologist<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zoologist>,
physician <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Physician> and
explorer<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_explorers>,
who worked in Russia <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russia> and present-day
Alaska <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alaska>.

His life history is rather fascinating and he had a few birds and mammals
named after him, not only the Steller's Jay.
