Subject: [Tweeters] Heronry on UW Campus

Hi all,

Last week I noticed eight herons attempting to nest in some maples
southeast of Drumheller Fountain, in the grove with the herb garden.
The four nests-in-progress are small, not much bigger than a crow's
nest, but today two of them had herons sitting in them.

If you stand at Drumheller fountain (Frosh Pond) looking toward Mount
Rainier, the grove to your right has a path running diagonally through
it, ending at the herb garden and Stevens Way. Walk halfway down the
path and look up and to your right.
