Good Morning Everyone! Ann Musch'e and Alan Richards, from Naselle, WA (Pacific Cty) arrived at 6:30 this morning, not to out smarted By the Rose Breasted Grosbeak.(Alan was here yesterday, and dipped on the bird) They viewed him at the tree feeder from 6:40 AM until 6:45 at the tree feeder (open tray), and then he flew to the lower part of the Big Leaf Maple and Crab Apple, from 6:45-7;05, when he then flew to the ground and out of sight. They were able to make out his scaly black and white appearance easily, and then he flashed his tail, turned and flew to the ground. I barely got the scope out in time for them. So, this is great news for those still wanting to see the bird. However this is VERY early in the day, and afternoons not so reliable. AND it is rather rainy, so who knows.He is also feeding at the tray in the back portion of the yard, at the main feeding station. As I posted last night, he was at this feeder at 1:30 pm, and had also fed at 2:31 pm on Sunday. Happy Birding, and proceed at your own risk.
